some links will be obvious in view source below body and html close tags. there's also a serious code from the reddii that gets planted at the bottom that's indiscipherable. if memory serves some of you have already dealt with this before they got to me but I'm all over my network now trying to secure - so just a heads up.

Also google chrome seems to stop me from visiting the sites and warning of the malware but not sure if that is my virus programs working through it.

You know... Since I started using wp-security-scan my sites haven't been hit. Before activating this plugin I was getting hit once a month. Not only does it tell you if your file permissions are correct but changes table prefixes in your db. This could be making the malware think its not a wp site? I'm just throwing this out there for discussion.

I just started using it and that link that goes with it so I can't really discuss it yet. I can discuss that you don't want to go through what I'm going through right now and I still can't find any rhymn or reason for which sites where hit and which ones weren't though I'm trying to stay below the radar right now so I don't want to elaborate. I have my theories.

I'm learning a fucking real lot right now, but not really able to make much cash cause I'm sort of in idle.

But you are absolutely right that you should make security a top concern and that tool links to a great 10 tip step to at least attempt that.

I'm about to reformat my desktop today because it's starting with a strange form link now LOL. The entire system, even if I start disconnected but I'm told once they have my ip I have to go about this a certain way to make sure it's secure.

I'm going to use that other tool you suggested too.

Symantec is for shit. I can't believe they charge you 100 bucks after their system is cracked. It just goes to show you they know they are shit and you're going to move on anyway or they would be salvaging their customers by patching their holes for free.

Anyway, I'm trying to make since out of the sites of mine that were targeted because they weren't very good ones for the most part, unless the better ones are more secure, but I can't understand why.

I know attempts were mad on all.

Plus Time Warner is turning on and off during the Tudors and really pissing me off. I think we are entering eTechno-Apocolypto!

yeah, i do somewhat. It never hurts to lock down further then it recommends. i'd say use their permissions as a minimum requirement.
