To Page Peel or Not to Page Peel...

So in researching varied sites, I see the page peel in use quite frequently...you know, where it looks like the right-hand corner of the page is curling/peeling down to reveal the "next page".

Does anyone utilize page peels for affiliate links? If so, have you had any luck in converts?

I don't think we'll use them, because they do actually annoy me to an extent...just curious.

I never even see page peel ads, but i block scripts. One thing about banners, they still show up if someone runs the web like I do.

I always thought the idea of the page peel was kind of clever. However, I have never had any luck with a page peel. Absolutely no sales from those for me. The only time I've liked them a lot as a surfer is when a site uses them to make you take note of something new on the site, like using it as a news spot... some sponsor programs do this to draw your attention to their latest promo and such.

First time I saw a page peel, I was pretty blown away because I just thought it was a really cool looking thing. I have never used one though because I think it's a glorified popup/popunder. I think its mostly webcam sponsors that offer those and I am rather passive about promoting my webcam sponsors mostly b/c I don't really know how to do it.

I agree with you razor! I installed it on some domains! I loved the look of it, spent sometime to create a nice pic.... but no sales!!

I got rid of the peelads mainly because it acted buggy in my browser. The ads would cover my content and make it unclickable for a little after it had already "unpeeled". I did like the cool effect though
