Star Wars : Episode III

Did not see it yet, I hated Episode One and never seen Episode Two. I love all the earlier ones especially Empire Strikes Back.

I saw it saturday. I loved it!
Its not perfect.. at times it looks like a Power Rangers episode, but those moments are few and short. The acting is not great, but thats not what StarWars was ever about.
Visually, its just amazing. Even if you are not a fan, its something worth seeing... the scenery and backgrounds are amazing.
And for fans, it completes the story. YEah, we all know where it all leads, but the fun is in discovering exactly how events fall into place.
And its a tear-jerker, folks! At least, it is emotional for people who have had StarWars a part of thier lives for 27 years.

oh yeah... that's very true.. and that feeling when the movie is about to start.. i felt so good and really excited.. or i think overjoyed.(lol...people think it's weird but to those who have been waiting for this saga..it's really something)

Agreed!

However, don't fret too much, I'm sure Lucas will do everything to make sure the franchise stays just as lucrative. I read where they are planning to do a TV series, and Lucas stated he will release all 6 episodes again at cinemas in 2007. This time they will all be in 3D.

3D????? Well James Camerons going to release a moview next year in 3D. Apparently he's devised a new kind of Lens in conjuction with Sony!

I got a chance to checki it out and ti was very impressed with it. The special effects were awesome and I would see it again in a heartbeat. Truly a must see!

not a fan either. never watched any episodes of star wars but this one. unlike LOTR, i appreciated every scene and could relate to the story of all those episodes i missed.
it's amazing how Lucas thought of skipping Episode III...

i think so too...Lucas is just too genius to minimize fx in this episode. there are more actual fight scenes using the light saber.. this is just in relation with the 4th episode.. he admitted that at that time though, at 1977 there is not much technology availbale to use but then he managed to make a really great saga of star wars... from a total wipe out in episode 3 and a new hope in episode 4

I saw it and I think it's cool.

The one thing that really disapointed me is the transition to the dark side of darth vader... It was not believable in my opinion.

It also makes a big difference if you watched the CLONE WARS animated series or not. The events of that series take place immediately prior to this movie, and it sets up the chain of events.
There was a lot of material covered in those shows, and they spent a long time developing the Anakin Skywalker character and setting the stage for his turning to the darkside. The guy went thru a lot of crap between the 2 movies.
