What is wrong with large thumbs?

I'm creating a few sites that have very large thumbs.

For example, take a look at
http://www.lesbian-sex-videos.net/

When I read the trading rules on some webmasters sign-up pages, I sometimes see restrictions on thumbs size. Usually if a thumbs is greater than 240*180, they won't trade with you.

Why is that? Why are some webmasters against trading with sites with large thumb sizes? How does it hurt them?

I've actually never heard of that rule, but I would say once you've exceeded 240 height, and if you're thinking 268-300 for example, it's not actually a thumbnail anymore. Just my 2 cents...

Because sites like that with huge thumbs typically send totally crap traffic to their trades. It's not worth trading with them because their prod is always horrible.

i agree with housekeeper, those are not thumbnails. They are small pics.

if you're talking about thumbs that have to be uploaded to the other site for posting, it's because they begin to add up and clog up the directory with memory and bandwidth usage after about 10k of them or so fill the directory.

As far as thumbs on something like a gallery page or blog, some of mine are as big as 350px wide on blogs and almost as large on movie galleries. That bandwidth usage is up to you.

If that's a straight up page for traffic trading (and I can't see what else it could be) I can't see the webmaster caring about anything more than your traffic and how consistant it stays.

Although each webmaster never fails to surprise me with his particular personal issues

Thanks for the feedback. These sites are bit of a bandwidth hog for me.

I've experimented with my site

www.free-squirting-videos.com,

and found that these larger thumbs (images) have given me better prod. Whether they give my trades good prod or not is a different story.
